In 2010, two infrastructure development giants, Emaar the Economic City and Huta Marine Works Ltd., joined forces and established a specialized company for the development of ports in KSA. The shores of the Red Sea are full of opportune instances and all that’s required is a hand that can craft the glory of its treasures! King Abdullah Port is the country’s & region’s first privately financed port owned by PDC. The construction work is still under way, however, the operations for container shipment to both import and export markets enunciated in January 2014. With its strategic location in King Abdullah Economic City, this port is set to become a world class reference in terms of its state-of-the-art infrastructure, automated systems and process management handled by a diversely experienced and aptly trained workforce.
